Instrument Loan and Donation Program
Starting in 2012, Music Matters began to offer Burlington students the opportunity to borrow musical instruments in order to participate in school music programming. The purpose of this program is to encourage participation in instrumental music programs. The instruments are loaned to students who are financially unable to purchase or rent their own.
As part of this program, Music Matters seeks donations of slightly used musical instruments and monetary donations. These funds are used to refurbish and repair the donated instruments. When the student phases out of the band or orchestra program, the instrument is returned to Music Matters' inventory for another student to use.
